St Marys Seafarers Memorial, Honoring the lives of Tyler Barlow, Dalton Conway and Caleb Wilkinson
Please join us in supporting the families of Tyler Barlow, Dalton Conway and Caleb Wilkinson as they work to build a permanent Seafarers Memorial in our community. Through the support of several community leaders, the family has developed a concept that will honor not only the lives of these three young men but also any in our community, past or future, with similar circumstances. The placement within St. Mary’s historic district is specifically meaningful given St. Mary’s notable past as one of the oldest fishing villages on the East Coast.
The family has presented this concept to the St. Mary's Historical Preservation Committee and is now scheduled to present the plan to St. Mary's City Council on October 7th. To make this project a reality, funds to build the memorial on municipal land will have to be raised. Current estimates make the total fundraising goal approximately $50,0000.
